As an artist, my passion for intuitive two-dimensional art has me painting almost daily on most any durable surfaces within reach! Even though I graduated in 1995 with my Bachelors of Fine Art degree from Western Carolina University, there was still much more to learn about developing my own ‘art language.’ Today, 25 years later, I am ‘unlearning’ much as well as learning to let go, be curious and be bold creatively! Connection and self-expression in my work today, is my ‘why.’ Creating art is how I connect to my true self. In my intuitive process, every dab of paint, every emotion that arises during my time at the easel, and my playfulness with paint is an important part of my final work. Painting intuitively reveals my paintings organically with unexpected and unique compositions, as well as unique color combinations. I embrace the element of surprise with spontaneous, intuitive art. Giving myself the freedom to just simply be my creative self has been absolutely liberating.
