Tia Koulianos

Koulianos was born in 1969 in the New York City Suburbs. She lives and works in White Plains, NY. Her Father was an art teacher at a Scarsdale Elementary School. Her Mother is a Columbia University English Literature graduate and author. Koulianos has studied sculpture (Under Sarah Katz and Barney Hodes) and design at various schools throughout New York City. Her work is in private collections in NY, CA, SD, NC and Sweden.

My work is a calling to bridge art and Spirit, to reflect our synergistic connections to one another. And to work together to raise the vibration of the planet through unity consciousness. As a disabled person with a fierce connection to Spirit, I convey energetic frequencies through color and symbolism. I paint abstract portraits using chakra colors, with hair as a metaphor for our immeasurable connections to one another.
